CNWLS Family Walk – On Saturday 14th July, Cheshire & North Wales Law Society joined with Liverpool Law Society for the Societies annual Family Walk.
This year’s walk was arranged by Liverpool Law society and took us in to the hills over Prestatyn, Wales.
The sun shone brightly as the dozen or so walkers arrived at Graig Fawr for a pre walk picnic before setting off along the Offa’s Dyke Path. The path runs 177 miles all the way from North to South Wales although fortunately we were only expected to walk a couple of miles of it! I think we managed to find some of the steepest parts though!
The path provided us with spectacular views of the North Wales coastline, the Clwydian Range and beyond. Great company and the promise of an ice cream when we reached Prestatyn sea front kept us all going for the 3 1/2 miles to the sea.
After an ice cream and a quick check of the England v Belgium score, we headed off back into Prestatyn to join the Dyserth to Prestatyn way, a disused railway branch which has been transformed for walkers and cyclists.
We arrived back at Graig Fawr with 6 miles and 39 floors under our belt before heading for lovely meal at the New In in Dyserth.
Many thanks to Liverpool Law Society for organising this years walk.
