CNWLS Committee Vacancies – Get Involved!

  • Would you like to be involved in your local law society?
  • Would you like to work to bring together the professionals from across the region through social and training events?
  • Would you like to be a key player in improving communications with our members and building relationships with our stakeholders?
  • Would you like to grow your own network in the region and meet committee members from other local law societies at national conferences?
  • Would you like to help change the public’s perception of the legal profession?
  • Would you like to be the link between the National Law Society and its members?

This is an exciting time to be a member of the CNWLS committee, and for the society generally.

The society and our region has a unique make up of city and rural practices, with large national firms through to single practitioners, and it is important that our committee reflects the diversity of our membership.

As a committee member, you can help shape and contribute to the continued relevance and value of society membership.

As an example, we’re undertaking a 12 month project to improve the way in which we communicate and engage with our members.

Members will be receiving a new quarterly newsletter updating on what the committee have been up to at a local and national level, letting you know about member events, and providing you with information from the National Society such as policy and consultation updates. We will be inviting members to make contributions to the newsletters and to a blog section which will appear on our updated website.

If you’re interested in becoming involved in this project, please get in touch with the current President, Amy Norman on 01606 334309 or email

Amy will talk you through the project, and answer any questions you may have generally about getting involved and becoming a committee member.

You don’t have to currently be a member of the Society to express an interest, although if you did want to join the committee we can talk you through membership options.

Good ideas come when we work together – be part of the CNWLS committee and help us help you, our members.
