Philip is a member of the Business and Property Team at St John’s Buildings and practices in almost all areas of Business and Property law. In particular, real property (residential, commercial and agricultural) including landlord and tenant, wills, trusts as well as acting ‘on both sides’ in construction disputes.
He regularly appears in the First-tier Tribunals (dealing with matters as diverse as rights affecting real property and service charge disputes), the County Court, High Court and has appeared in the Court of Appeal.
He regularly advises individuals and companies in respect of contractual interpretation and enforcement.
Philip also advises on professional negligence work, particularly associated with or arising from property and construction matters.
Philip brings a practical and commercial approach to his work, having been a one-time member of the Chartered Institute of Housing and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Philip also acts as a mediator and brings his breadth of experience and pursuit of practical and commercial solutions to this increasingly important element of dispute resolution.
